The invention which is the subject of this application relates to a lifting device which is inflatable and is for use for the lifting of persons so that they can move from and onto an object such as a chair, bath or bed. The device includes an inflatable seat which is moved from an inflated position whereupon the person can place themselves thereon to a deflated position whereupon the person is effectively sitting on the object and, connected thereto there is preferably provided a blower unit for supplying pressurised gas such as air, a control valve for operation of the blower unit and a flow valve for controlling the flow of air into the inflatable seat. The inflatable seat is provided to have at least two compartments which are inflatable and the relative rate of inflation of each of the compartments is controlled by the flow valve dependent upon the pressure sensed by the flow valve in each of the compartments at any instant during deflation and inflation. By providing at least two compartments, the person on the inflatable device can be raised and lowered in a relatively stable plane regardless of the particular position of the person on the compartment of the seat device and, furthermore, the movement of the person during inflation and deflation on the inflatable seat is taken into account by alterations of the flow valve. In a further feature, supports may be provided integral or additional to the inflatable seat so that the person can place their arms thereon and gain support therefrom.
L'invention porte sur un appareil de levage gonflable servant à soulever des personnes pour leur permettre de se déplacer entre des objets tels qu'une chaise, une baignoire ou un lit. L'appareil comporte un siège gonflable passant d'une position gonflée où la personne peut y prendre place et une position dégonflée où la personne est effectivement assise sur l'objet. Une unité de soufflage fournissant un gaz sous pression tel que de l'air, un robinet de commande de l'unité de soufflage et un robinet de réglage du débit de gaz. Le siège gonflable comporte au moins deux compartiments gonflables dont le degré relatif de gonflage est commandé par le robinet de débit en fonction de la pression instantanée détectée dans les compartiments, en cours de gonflage ou de dégonflage. Du fait de la présence de deux compartiments au moins, la personne prenant place sur l'appareil de levage peut être élevée ou abaissée sur un plan relativement stable, indépendamment de sa position sur un compartiment, et de plus, ses mouvements sur le siège pendant le gonflage et le dégonflage sont pris en compte par le réglage du robinet de débit. On peut en outre prévoir des bras supports intégrés ou ajoutés au siège gonflable et servant d'appui aux bras de l'occupant du siège.
