An inflatable reinforced downhole packer comprising two end members (14, 15) and an elastomeric tubular element provided with reinforcing members arranged at a slight angle (around 10-15 DEG ) to the longitudinal axis of said element. The reinforcing members are arranged in interlaced or "pressure" webs and the tubular element is combined with a longitudinal cord assembly (32) which, on inflating the element, limits strain around its ends in the regions where said element is joined to the end of the packer.

Dispositif de flexible haute-pression dilatable comportant deux embouts d'extrémité (14, 15) et un élément tubulaire à base de matériau élastomère muni d'armatures de renfort posées suivant un angle faible, de l'ordre de 10 à 15°, par rapport à l'axe longitudinal dudit élément. Les armatures sont disposées suivant des nappes tramées dites "de pression" et à l'élément tubulaire sont associés des moyens (32) à câblés longitudinaux qui, lors du gonflage, y limitent les contraintes au voisinage de ses extrémités, dans les zones de raccord dudit élément aux embouts du dispositif.
