A new inflating device (10) and method for inflating an inflatable object are described. The inflating device includes two compartments: one (1) containing a gas-generating agent and the other (12) containing an activating agent. When mixed, the gas-generating agent and the activating agent produces a gas in situ. The device further includes an activator (13) connected to both compartments and is capable of effectuating mixing between the two agents upon activation. A hose assembly (14) of the inflating device delivers a the gas generated to an inflatable object, such as a flat tire.
La présente invention concerne un nouveau dispositif de gonflage et un procédé permettant de gonfler un objet gonflable. Le dispositif de gonflage comprend deux compartiments : un compartiment contenant un agent générateur de gaz et l'autre compartiment contenant un activateur. Lorsqu'ils sont mélangés, l'agent générateur de gaz et l'activateur produisent un gaz <i>in situ</i>. Le dispositif de l'invention comprend en outre un organe de commande relié aux deux compartiments, qui est capable d'effectuer le mélange entre les deux agents lorsqu'il est actionné. Un ensemble tuyau du dispositif de gonflage distribue le gaz généré à un objet gonflable tel qu'un pneu dégonflé.
