ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention is configured in that a Dewar window is formed in the shape of a spheroid, a dielectric filter is formed on a surface of the Dower window by deposition, and an infrared detection element is mounted at a position within a focal circle of the spheroid. Since a cold filter required for cooling is omitted and reduction of noise equivalent thereto is achieved, heat load for a coolant is reduced and a time needed for cooling is decreased to a great extent.
