The invention discloses an infrared headlight having an infrared emitter which is arranged in a reflector and has a radiation source which is held in an internal area of a lamp vessel, and a night-vision system with an infrared headlight such as this. The radiation source has an associated filter body which has a part provided with a filter layer and an uncoated part, which parts are designed such that all of the radiation through the uncoated part of the filter body essentially strikes a different area of the reflector than the infrared radiation which is transmitted through the filter layer. The invention also discloses an infrared emitter for an infrared headlight such as this.
