ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An improved infrared remote control device for Venetian blind and curtain comprises an inner housing in which two decelerating motors are mounted. One of the decelerating motor includes a long shaft onto which a rope-drawing wheel a with a slot is secured. The other one includes a long shaft onto which a rope-drawing wheel b with a slot and a ball chain wheel are disposed. The two lateral sides of the slot of the ball chain wheel are punched with a plurality of holes . A pair of guide rollers mounted between the decelerating motors are associated with a pair of elongate plates on the lower side thereof. Two pairs of press rollers are respectively located at the ends of the plates, with two springs mounted across the upper and lower part of elongate plates such that the press rollers may be forced into the slots of the rope-drawing wheels a, b to firmly press against the rope-drawing wheels so as to provide a secure pressing on various thicknesses of the ropes. A circuit board is disposed at the back of the inner housing to handle the signals transmitted to the infrared receiver in order to control the rotary motion of the decelerating motors whereby remotely operating the Venetian blind or curtain.
