The composition comprises a continuous phase of a film- forming electrically insulating polymer having dispersed therein a plurality of crystalline particles consisting of an electrically insulating polymer and a trimethine thio- pyrylium dye conforming to the general formula: I. Image A.theta. wherein: X is sulfur or selenium and A.theta. is an anion.
