INFRARED SENSITIZATION OF PHOTOCONDUCTIVE ZINC OXIDE Abstract of the Disclosure Photoconductive zinc oxide compositions are described which are highly sensitized to near infrared radiation by cationic or holopolar cyanine dyes containing a heptamethine chain and having thiazoline, selenazoline or indolenine nuclei. The coated compositions are particularly important for imaging systems, and particularly for laser diode printers, in which the emitted radiation has a wavelength in the range of 740 nm to 900 nm.
