Described is a prosthetic valve assembly comprising: a radially self-expandable stent configured to expand to bear against a wall of a native body lumen; and an implantable prosthetic valve, having a diameter, the valve being mounted inside the stent; wherein the diameter of the stent is greater than the diameter of the prosthetic valve.

L'invention concerne un ensemble valve prothétique qui comprend: une endoprothèse auto-expansible radialement qui est conçue pour appuyer, après expansion, contre une paroi d'une lumière corporelle naturelle; et une valve prothétique implantable présentant un diamètre donné, cette valve étant montée à l'intérieur de l'endoprothèse; le diamètre de l'endoprothèse est supérieur à celui de la valve prothétique.
