A device for use with metered dose inhalers includes a housing (204) configured with a void (208) to receive a metered dose inhaler (14), an actuator assembly (16, 20, 22, 24, 28) which is configured to selectively apply force to the metered dose inhaler (14) to cause the metered dose inhaler (14) to release medicament, and a cocking mechanism (18) for placing the actuator assembly (16, 20, 22, 24, 28) in an armed configuration. The device is configured to actuate the metered dose inhaler (14) as the user inhales, thereby ensuring improved medicament delivery. Additionally, the device is configured to prevent the metered dose inhaler (14) from remaining in a vented position.

L'invention concerne un dispositif destiné à être utilisé avec des aérosols-doseurs, ce dispositif comprenant un logement (204) à l'intérieur duquel est ménagé un vide (208) conçu pour recevoir un aérosol-doseur (14). Ce dispositif est également pourvu d'un ensemble actionneur (16, 20, 22, 24, 28) permettant d'appliquer sélectivement une force sur ledit aérosol-doseur (14) afin d'amener ce dernier à libérer un médicament. Un mécanisme d'armement (18) est par ailleurs utilisé pour placer cet ensemble actionneur (16, 20, 22, 24, 28) dans une configuration armée.
