An inhaler for use by an individual to inhale a particulate medicament from a reservoir comprises a chamber having a first end connectable to the reservoir to be in air flow communication therewith, a second end for delivering the medicament to the individual upon inhalation and a conduit defining an air flow path extending between the first end and the second end; and, an orifice in the chamber between the first end and the second end, the orifice utilizing the Coanda Effect when the reservoir is in air flow communication with the chamber and upon inhalation by the individual to draw medicament from the reservoir into the air flow path.

Cet inhalateur, utilisable par une personne devant inhaler un médicament sous forme particulaire (39) contenu dans un réservoir (32), comporte une chambre (21) dont une première extrémité (42) peut se raccorder au réservoir (32) de manière à ce qu'un flux d'air les mette en communication, la seconde extrémité (44) permettant l'administration du médicament (39) par inhalation. Un tuyau constituant un passage pour le flux d'air réunit les deux extrémités (42, 44). Un orifice (30), qui est ménagé dans la chambre entre les deux extrémités (42, 44), utilise l'effet de Coanda lorsque le réservoir (32) est en communication fluidique avec la chambre (21) au moment de l'inhalation et ce, afin d'extraire le médicament (39) du réservoir (32) pour le faire pénétrer dans le passage du flux d'air.
