L'invention concerne un dispositif pour administrer des substances actives basiques, en particulier de la nicotine, dans le corps d'un être humain ou d'un animal, par inhalation. Ce dispositif comprend une première préparation qui contient une base de nicotine et/ou une autre substance active basique, et comporte en outre une deuxième préparation ou plusieurs préparations supplémentaires, au moins une préparation contenant au moins un acide volatil destiné à être inhalé.
