INHIBITION OF ANGIOGENESIS - 1 - Abstract of the Disclosure Angiogenesis in mammals is inhibited by administration of heparin or a heparin fragment which is a hexasaccharide or larger together with cortisone, hydrocortisone or the 11-.alpha. isomer of hydrocortisone. Inhibition of tumor-induced angiogenesis is accompanied by tumor regression, and prevention of metastasis.
