The invention concerns a method for extending the plasma half-life of heparin-binding proteins by coadminis- tering such proteins with a therapeuti- cally acceptable compound capable of inhibiting their binding to a low affin- ity heparin-like binding site on the sur- face of cells of an organ highly perfused with blood. The inhibitory compound can, for example be a purified native heparin preparation, a heparin fragment, or another polyanionic compound, such as dextran sulfate, heparan sulfate, pen- tosan sulfate, hyaluronate.
L'invention concerne un procédé pour prolonger la demi-vie dans le plasma de protéines fixant l'héparine par l'administration concomitante de telles protéines et d'un composé acceptable sur le plan thérapeutique capable d'inhiber leur fixation à un site de fixation similaire à l'héparine présentant une faible affinité, et qui se trouve à la surface de cellules d'un organe soumis à une forte perfusion de sang. Le composé inhibiteur peut, par exemple, être une préparation d'héparine native purifiée, un fragment d'héparine ou un autre composé polyanionique, tel que le sulfate de dextrane, le sulfate d'héparane, le sulfate de pentosane et le hyaluronate.
