A wireless communication network comprises an association unit and a plurality of stations. At least part of the stations store association information indicative of an associated route for transmission of messages from the station to the association unit. The association information is generated by installing the stations in a not-associated state; transmitting association request messages from stations in the not-associated state; and transmitting association grant messages in response to the association request messages. Each association grant message is transmitted only from the association unit or, at least when the station that has transmitted association request message is outside a reception range of the association unit, from one of the stations that is in an associated state. Each station that has received the association grant message in response to its association request message is switched to the associated state. Association information is stored that indicates the station that has sent the association grant message as part of the associated route to the association unit.
La présente invention concerne un réseau de communication sans fil comprenant une unité d~association et une pluralité de stations. Au moins une partie des stations stockent des informations d~association indiquant une route associée pour la transmission de messages de la station à l~unité d~association. Les informations d~association sont générées par l~installation de stations dans un état non associé ; la transmission de messages de demande d~association à partir de stations dans l~état non associé ; et la transmission de messages d~accord d~association en réponse aux messages de demande d~association. Chaque message d~accord d~association est transmis seulement à partir de l~unité d~association ou, au moins lorsque la station qui a transmis le message de demande d~association est hors de la portée de réception de l~unité d~association, à partir de l~une des stations qui sont dans un état associé. On fait basculer chaque station qui a reçu le message d~accord d~association en réponse à son message de demande d~association dans l~état associé. Les informations d~association qui sont stockées indiquent la station qui a envoyé le message d~accord d~association dans le cadre de la route associée à l~unité d~association.
