A refractive anterior chamber iris fixated intraocular lens including an optic portion having an outer peripheral edge and two or more but preferably two, three or four balanced haptic elements. Each haptic element is manufactured to have an inner portion and an outer free end portion for supporting the optic portion in a patient's eye. The inner portion of each haptic element is preferably permanently connected to the outer peripheral edge of the optic portion. Each haptic element also includes an aperture through which a fixation clamp is attached or to which a fixation clip is connected.

L'invention concerne une lentille intraoculaire à fixation irienne à chambre antérieure réfractive qui comporte une partie optique ayant une bord périphérique extérieur et, de préférence, deux, trois ou quatre éléments haptiques équilibrés. Chaque élément haptique est fabriqué de façon à avoir une partie intérieure et une extrémité extérieure libre pour supporter la partie optique de l'oeil du patient. La partie intérieure de chaque élément haptique est, de préférence, reliée en permanence au bord périphérique extérieur de la partie optique. Chaque élément optique comprend également un orifice à travers lequel une bride est fixée ou auquel une agrafe est reliée.
