INJECTING GAS INTO MOLTEN METAL Abstract Gas is injected into molten metal by flowing the molten metal through a passageway (24), and by providing a plurality of openings about the periphery of the passageway (24). The gas is injected through the openings into the molten metal flowing through the passageway (24). Preferably, the openings are defined by a porous ceramic media disperser (32) that forms a portion of the passageway (24).
