An injection device is of the type which has a housing defining a first axis and which is adapted to receive a syringe having a discharge nozzle, so that the syringe is movable between a retracted position, in which the discharge nozzle is contained within the housing, and an extended position, in which the discharge nozzle extends from the housing through an exit aperture. A trigger is movable from a rest position, in which it causes the drive to be retained, to an active position, in which it no longer causes the drive to be retained. A releasable locking mechanism is movable from a first position, in which the trigger is prevented from moving into its active position, to a second position, in which the trigger can be moved to its active position. The trigger and the releasable locking mechanism are arranged such that the trigger moves to its active position when the releasable locking mechanism is moved to its second position whilst pressure is being applied to an activation surface of the trigger.

Un dispositif d'injection du type de dispositifs munis d'un boîtier définissant un premier axe et aptes à recevoir une seringue pourvue d'une buse de décharge. Ladite seringue peut passer d'une position rétractée dans laquelle la buse de décharge est renfermée dans le boîtier à une position étendue dans laquelle la buse de décharge s'étend hors du boîtier à travers une ouverture de sortie. Un déclencheur peut passer d'une position de repos, dans laquelle il amène l'instrument à être retenu, à une position active, dans laquelle il n'amène plus l'instrument à être retenu. Un mécanisme de verrouillage amovible peut passer d'une première position, dans laquelle le déclencheur ne peut pas passer en position active, à une seconde position, dans laquelle le déclencheur peut passer en position active. Le déclencheur et le mécanisme de verrouillage amovible sont disposés de telle sorte que le déclencheur passe en position active lorsque le mécanisme de verrouillage amovible passe dans sa seconde position, pendant qu'une pression est appliquée à la surface d'activation du déclencheur.
