An injection device comprising a hollow body (11) having a forward end (12) and a rearward end (13), the forward end (12) slidably receiving a hollow needle (15), the body (11) providing a chamber (A) between its forward end (12) and its rearward end (13), the chamber being defined between a plug (17) and a stop (18), the plug (17) being sealingly and slidably received within the body (11) adjacent the forward end (12), the stop (18) being slidably and sealingly received within the body (11) rearward of the plug (17) wherein a greater degree of effort must be applied to the stop (18) than to the plug (17) to effect slidable movement within the body, the rearward end (13) of the body having a portion (14) in which the stop (18) is not sealingly received within the body, a drive element (19) connected at one end to the plug (17) and slidingly and sealingly received through the stop (18) to extend from the rearward end (13) of the body (11), a manipulation means (20) provided on the other end of the drive element (19), the hollow interior of said needle (15) being connected to the chamber (A) through a flexible passageway (21) extending between the inner end of the needle (15) and the plug (17), said needle (15) being connected to the plug (17) or stop (18) by a tensioning means (21), a means (22) between the needle (15) and body (11) adapted to retain the needle (15) at a first position which extends from the body (11) and said means (22) being adapted to be able to release the needle (15) to allow the needle to move to a second position at which it is accommodated within the body, the movement between the first and second position being effected by the tensioning means (22).
La présente invention concerne un dispositif d'injection comportant un corps creux (11) caractérisé par une extrémité avant (12) et une extrémité arrière (13), l'extrémité avant (12) recevant une aiguille creuse (15) escamotable. Le corps (11) définit entre son extrémité avant (12) et son extrémité arrière (13) une chambre (A) délimitée par un piston (17) et une butée (18), le piston (17) étant logé en relation étanche et de coulissement à l'intérieur du corps (11) contre l'extrémité avant, et la butée (18) étant logée en relation étanche et de coulissement à l'intérieur du corps (11) derrière le piston (17). L'effort à appliquer pour provoquer le coulissement de la butée (18) à l'intérieur du corps (11) est supérieur à l'effort à appliquer pour provoquer le coulissement du piston (17). L'extrémité arrière (13) du corps présente une partie (14) dans laquelle la butée (18) se loge en perdant son étanchéité. Un actionneur (19), solidaire d'une extrémité du piston, et reçu en relation étanche et de coulissement au travers de la butée (18), dépasse de l'extrémité arrière (13) du corps (11), un organe de manipulation (20) étant disposé sur l'autre extrémité de l'actionneur (19). La partie creuse de ladite aiguille (15) est en relation avec la chambre (A) au travers d'un passage flexible (21), ladite aiguille (15) étant solidaire du piston (17) ou de la butée (18) par l'intermédiaire d'un organe de tensionnement (21). Un dispositif (22) situé entre l'aiguille (15) et le corps est conçu pour retenir l'aiguille (15) dans une première position définie par rapport au corps (11), la conception dudit dispositif (22) lui permettant de libérer l'aiguille (15) pour qu'elle vienne occuper une seconde position selon laquelle elle se loge à l'intérieur du corps, le mouvement entre la première et la seconde position étant commandé par le dispositif de tensionnement (22).
