ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An injection molding method for molding a molding material onto an insert, which allows the insert to be fixedly located within a metal mold assembly prior to injection of the molding material to improve the insertion accuracy of the insert and prevent displacement of the insert during the injection of the molding material. The method comprises guiding an insert into a metal mold assembly by means of a guide member, and fixedly holding the insert within at least one of at least two parts of a metal mold assembly by means of the guide member, and subsequently injecting the molding material into the mold assembly.
