A nozzle arrangement for a plastic injection molding apparatus, said nozzle arrangement including a nozzle housing, a nozzle tip having a flanged end and a collar threadedly received by the nozzle housing for retaining the nozzle tip within the nozzle housing. The flanged end of the nozzle tip contacts the nozzle housing over a substantial portion of an inner face and a circumference of the flange to ensure good heat transfer and sealing between the nozzle tip and the nozzle housing. The collar has a sealing rib extending about its circumference which is closely spaced to an outer edge of the nozzle housing to further ensure against melt seepage.
