ABSTRACT A hollow article, especially a syringe body, having a tubular portion (1) and a flange (4) is injection moulded in a mould having a single injection orifice located at the extremity of the mould cavity part which defines the flange. The mould cavity has a pair of channels which define ribs on the flange of the syringe body and which have substantial equal length and area for conducting molten material simultaneously to opposite sides of the cavity part which forms the tubular portion.
