The invention relates to the use of an LLDPE produced using a single site catalyst, e.g. an LLDPE produced using a metallocene (m-LLDPE), in injection moulding of food packaging material, especially closures for food containers. Such materials have been found to exhibit low levels of migration, typically less than 40 mg/dm2, e.g. less than 5 mg/dm2, and are particularly suitable for use in packaging foods having a high fat content.
L'invention concerne l'utilisation d'un polymère linéaire basse densité (LLDPE) produit à l'aide d'un catalyseur à site unique, notamment un polymère linéaire basse densité produit à l'aide d'un métallocène (m-LLDPE), pour le moulage par injection de matériaux d'emballage alimentaire, en particulier les couvercles de récipients alimentaires. On a découvert que ces matériaux, qui présentent de faibles niveaux de migration, généralement moins de 40 mg/dm?2¿, par exemple, moins de 5 mg/dm?2¿ se prêtent particulièrement bien au conditionnement d'aliments à haute teneur en matières grasses.
