This invention is a lens injecting device (10) including a slidable plunger (16) and means for providing a force (24) in a direction opposite to the direction of advancement of the slidable plunger (16) to provide controlled release of the deformable intraocular lens fromn the lens injection device (10). Further this is a method of implantation of a deformable intraocular lens in the eye by forcing the deformable intraocular lens in a folded or condensed configuration through a passageway through an incision in the eye while applying an opposing force to control release of the deformable intraocular lens into the eye.
Le dispositif décrit (10) d'injection de lentilles comprend un piston coulissant (16) et un applicateur d'une force (24) dans la direction contraire à la direction d'avancement du piston coulissant (16) qui permet de détacher de manière maîtrisée la lentille intra-oculaire déformable du dispositif (10) d'injection de lentilles. L'invention concerne également une méthode d'implantation d'une lentille intra-oculaire déformable dans l'oeil qui consiste à faire passer la lentille intra-oculaire déformable repliée ou condensée à travers une incision pratiquée dans l'oeil en même temps que l'on applique une force antagoniste pour régler le relâchement de la lentille intra-oculaire déformable dans l'oeil.
