INK COMPOSITION FOR INK JET PRINTING Abstract of the Disclosure There is disclosed an ink composition that is particularly suitable for ink jet printing. It comprises from 2 to 12% by weight of a water-soluble dye and from 35 to 80% by weight of at least one polyhydric alcohol having from 2 to 6 carbon atoms and water. The ink composition has a viscosity of 4 to 20 centipoises at 25°C. The ink composition may further include an antiseptic and a non-ionic surface active agent.
