- 38 - Abstract: Ink composition for ink jet printing There is disclosed an ink composition for ink jet printing comprising vinyl polymer latex particles which contain a hydrophobic dye and which are essentially insoluble in and non-swelling with water, an organic solvent having a hydrophilic-lipophilic balance of 9.5 or less, and an aqueous medium. The ink composition of the present invention exhibits less bleeding, higher print quality, and less risk of nozzle clogging. In addition, the ink composition of the present invention exhibits quick drying property on the printing paper having a high sizing degree which is called plain paper.
