Ink Jet Head with vacuum Reservoir Abstract In the representative embodiments described in the specification, an ink jet head (10) includes an ink res- ervoir (23) supplying ink (24) to a series of pressure chambers (26) through corresponding supply passages (25) and a sealed vacuum reservoir (29) communicating with the pressure chambers (26) through a semipermeable wall (30) to extract dissolved air from the ink in the pressure chambers. In an alternative embodiment, the head in- cluded a vacuum pump to maintain a vacuum which is ap- plied to the semipermeable wall (30). (Fig. 2)
