8 ABSTRACT: Ink ribbon cassette provided with an impregnation device. The invention relates to an ink ribbon cassette (1) with an impregnation device (1, 8) for printers, in which a container (8) for the inl liquid (11) has in its interior a threshold (16), across which flows the ink liquid at increased acceleration. One end of an extrac- tion tube (13) opens into the surface of the threshold (16), the other end of this tube (13) terminating above and adjacent to a roller (12) of sponge or felt. Effica- ciously, the threshold (16) forms part of a constriction, through which the ink liquid is urged. The constriction may be formed in that two cavities (9, 10) having narrow- ing cross-sections face each other or in that a tube (18, 19) is arranged in the container (8). Fig. 1.
