An ink transfer band has (a) a microporous flexible substrate; (b) one or more optional intermediate layers; and (c) one or more layers of a transfer ink. The ink transfer ribbon is characterised in that the back side of the substrate has a surface roughness depth Rt of at least approximately 400 nm and an average roughness value Ra of at least approximately 40 nm. This transfer ribbon has the advantage of solving in a simple and economical manner the problems related to oil migration and static electricity.

L'invention concerne un ruban de transfert d'encre présentant (a) un support souple microporeux, (b) éventuellement une ou plusieurs couches intermédiaires et (c) une ou plusieurs couches d'une encre à transférer. Ledit ruban se caractérise en ce que la face dorsale du support présente une surface dont la profondeur de rugosité R¿t? est d'au moins approximativement 400 nm et dont la rugosité moyenne arithmétique R¿a? est d'au moins approximativement 40 nm. L'avantage offert par ce ruban de transfert résulte dans le fait que les problèmes liés à la migration de l'huile et à l'électricité statique sont éliminés de façon simple et économique.
