ABSTRACT An inking system for franking and value stamping machines is made up of three rollers. A doctor blade, secured by an elastic clamping device, is associated with one roller for metering the transfer of quantities of ink to the ink applicator roller, so that the latter always has an ink film of even thickness for inking type wheels, print type, stereotype plates, and the like. Additional feed and return connectors on the ink supply container make it possible to supply and circulate the ink supply for high-performance franking machines.
