An inline process valve assembly (11) having a valve body (12) having a through bore (13)of circular cross-section forming a flow passage extending through the valve body (12) along a longitudinal axis and having a lower arcuate surface (16). A cone-shaped recess (17) is formed in the body (12) which opens into the flow passage and has an hemispherical rounded nose (44) which is generally coincident with the lower arcuate surface (16) of the flow passage. A cone-shaped diaphragm (41) is disposed in said cone-shaped recess (17) and has an outer margin (41c) which is clamped to the valve body by a clamp (76). An operator moves the diaphragm (41) between open and closed positions.

L'invention concerne un ensemble soupape de traitement (11) comprenant un corps de soupape (12) pourvu d'un alésage traversant (13) à section transversale circulaire définissant un passage d'écoulement à travers le corps de soupape (12) le long d'un axe longitudinal, et comportant une surface inférieure arquée (16). Un évidement conique (17) formé dans ce corps (12) débouche sur le passage d'écoulement et comprend un nez hémisphérique arrondi (44) généralement coïncident avec la surface arquée inférieure (16) du passage d'écoulement. Un diaphragme conique (41) disposé dans ledit évidement conique (17) comporte un bord extérieur (41c) retenu contre le corps de soupape par une patte de serrage (76). Un opérateur déplace ce diaphragme (41) entre une position fermée et une position ouverte.
