ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to a lid to be fitted in the top of a receptacle filled with instant-cooking food. The lid has a bottom and a circumferential wall made in a unitary construc- tion. The wall has upright grooves to form passages connecting the interior of the receptacle with the exterior of the recepta- cle, and the grooves are disposed between the walls of the lid and the walls of said receptacle when the lid is fitted in said receptacle. The bottom may be provided with small bores or slots.
