An insulated electrical conductor wire has a conductor core containing Ni or Ni alloy at least in its outer surface, an oxide layer of Ni or Ni alloy formed by oxidation treatment of the outer surface of the conductor, and an insulating inorganic compound outer layer formed on the oxide layer of Ni or Ni alloy. The insulating inorganic outer layer is intimately bonded to the oxide layer and provides an improved heat resistance and insulability.

L'invention est un fil conducteur électrique isolé comportant une âme contenant du nickel ou un alliage de nickel sur sa couche externe au moins, une couche d'oxyde de nickel ou d'un alliage de nickel formée par l'oxydation de la surface extérieure du conducteur, et une couche externe faite d'une substance inorganique isolante formée sur la couche d'oxyde de nickel ou d'alliage de nickel. La couche externe inorganique isolante est soudée à la couche d'oxyde et améliore la résistance à la chaleur et la capacité d'isolement du fil.
