A method and a composition particularly suitable for controlling fleas on small mammals are disclosed. The composition comprises at least one 1-N-arylpyrazole insecticide, particularly fipronil, as well as at least one insect growth regulator (IGR) compound, in doses and proportions that are parasiticidally effective against fleas, and in a fluid carrier that is acceptable for use on the animal and suitable for topical application on the skin, preferably on a small area thereof.
Procédé et composition, notamment pour la lutte contre les puces chez les petits mammifères, caractérisée en ce que la composition comporte d'une part au moins un insecticide de type 1-N-arylpyrazole, notamment le fipronil, et d'autre part, au moins un composé de type IGR (régulateur de croissance d'insectes), en doses et proportions ayant une efficacité parasiticide pour la puce, dans un véhicule fluide acceptable pour l'animal et convenable pour une application cutanée locale, de préférence localisée sur une faible surface.
