The invention concerns a flexible thermoplastic packet containing one dose of semen for artificial insemination of animals, a machine for preparing said packets, and an insemination catheter adaptable to said packets. The catheter consists of a semi-rigid tube (24) having at one end moulded padding (25) that has a groove and is made of flexible polyurethane foam. The tube is also equipped with a conduit running lengthwise from one to the other of said tube. The semi-rigid tube is housed in the conduit over part of its length, and the conduit includes in its part located beyond the semi-rigid tube a narrower area (26) in which it presents a circular cross section with a diameter of about 3 mm.
L'invention concerne un sachet-dose en matière thermoplastique souple pour l'insémination artificielle animale, une machine de conditionnement de ces sachets, et une sonde d'insémination adaptable à de tels sachets. La sonde est constituée d'un tube (24) semi-rigide portant à une extrémité un tampon (25) surmoulé en mousse souple de polyuréthane présentant une forme de révolution et muni d'un conduit le traversant longitudinalement de part en part, le tube semi-rigide étant logé dans le conduit sur une partie de sa longueur, et le conduit comporte dans sa partie située au-delà du tube semi-rigide, une zone rétrécie (26) dans laquelle il présente une section droite circulaire ayant un diamètre d'environ trois millimètres.
