ABSTRACT The present invention is a compact inshot gas burner for a power vented furnace. The burner can be placed in any one of a variety of orientations. It has an intake means which feeds gas and air to a venturi. The gas and air mixture flows out of the gas burner through a burner insert specially constructed to retard flashback.
