ABSTRACT The invention provides an inside rear-view mirror for a car which comprises a mirror arm projecting to the interior of the car and having a base which may be mounted releasably to a supporting plate fastened to the car body or the winshield of the car. The lower free end of the arm supports a mirror housing. For suppressing any vibrations of the mirror housing caused by the running car engine, a supporting leg is provided which projects in spaced relationship to the upper base of the arm towards the windshield or the car body and is adhered thereto. Upon impact above a predetermined threshold the supporting leg may collapse.
