Abstract of the Disclosure A storm window which is adapted to be installed in an existing window case. The window comprises a rectangular rigid frame composed of four sections cut from a linear extrusion. The extrusion includes a recess for receiving and holding a pane at the inner side of the rectangular frame and a recess for holding a compressible gasket along the outer side of the rectangular frame. The extrusion also includes a slot for holding sliding-pins at each end of one of the sections. The rigid rectangular frame is sur- rounded by the compressible gasket and is installed by placing it in the window case with the gasket compressed between the rigid frame and the window case. The sliding pins are then moved outward- ly into holes in the window case and from the pivoting axis for the window. The gasket serves to provide a tight fit between the storm window and the window case despite irregularities in the window case and also serves to hold the storm window in an open position if desired.
