ABSTRACT An insole, comprising an absorbent layer of moisture retaining fibres, and a moisture permeable layer of textile material, this being superimposed on and affixed to the absorbent layer, the moisture permeable layer consisting of water-repellant fibres, the fibres incorporating pores that are capillary active and that pass moisture through the moisture permeable layer from the top and into the absorbent layer.
