A system and method for inspecting an optical component such as a hydrated contact lens in which the system includes an illuminator (12) providing light to a receptacle (16) supporting the optical component (20) with a saline solution (18) and an imaging sensing device such as an eye or a video camera (22) detecting fluorescent light generated in the optical component (20) or in some portion of the receptacle (16) and blocked by the optical component. The system and method are particularly useful for inspecting optical components which have been produced to have ultraviolet-absorbing properties.
La présente invention concerne un système et un procédé de contrôle d'un composant d'optique tel qu'une lentille de contact hydrophile. En l'occurrence, le système comporte un dispositif d'éclairage (12) fournissant de la lumière à un réceptacle (16) supportant, dans une solution saline (18), le composant d'optique (20). Le système comporte également un dispositif de détection optique tel qu'un oeil ou une caméra vidéo (22) captant la lumière fluorescente générée dans le composant d'optique (20) ou dans une certaine partie du réceptacle (16) et arrêtée par le composant d'optique. Ce système et ce procédé conviennent particulièrement au contrôle de composants d'optique fabriqués pour présenter des propriétés d'absorption du rayonnement ultraviolet.
