The invention relates to an elevator without a machine room, comprising an elevator car (10) which travels in an elevator shaft (11), an elevator control unit which controls at least the travel movements of the elevator; and various elevator components which are mounted in the elevator shaft (11) and which are to be inspected periodically. The elevator car (10) has at least one sealable inspection and maintenance opening (29) in at least one of its side walls (26), said opening being sealed by a transparent inspection window (28.A) or in-spection grid (28.B) in a normal mode. When the inspection window (28.B) or the inspection grid (28.B) is open, inspection and maintenance work can be carried out on the elevator components by a person standing in the elevator car. When the inspection window (28.A) or the inspection grid (28.B) is closed, visual inspections can be made from the car (10) and testing and adjusting work can be carried out on the elevator components through suitably placed reach-through openings (31) in the inspection window (28.A) or the inspection grid (28.B).
L'invention concerne un ascenseur dépourvu de compartiment de machines et comprenant une cabine (10) se déplaçant dans une cage d'ascenseur (11), un dispositif de commande qui commande au moins les déplacements de l'ascenseur, différents composants d'ascenseur placés dans la cage (11) et devant être inspectés périodiquement. La cabine d'ascenseur (10) présente dans au moins une de ses parois latérales (26) au moins un orifice d'inspection et d'entretien (29) obturable. En mode de fonctionnement normal, cet orifice est fermé par une fenêtre d'inspection transparente (28.A) ou une grille d'inspection (28.B). Lorsque la fenêtre d'inspection (28.A) ou la grille (28.B) est ouverte, les opérations d'inspection et d'entretien cités peuvent être effectuées sur les composants d'ascenseur par une personne se tenant debout dans la cabine d'ascenseur. Lorsque la fenêtre d'inspection (28.A) ou la grille (28.B) est fermée, des inspections visuelles peuvent être effectuées à partir de la cabine (10) et certaines opérations de contrôle et de réglage peuvent être exécutées sur les composants par des trous d'accès (31) de position adéquate pratiqués dans la fenêtre d'inspection (28.A) ou la grille (28.B) mentionnée.
