A B S T R A C T An installation for accommodating animals while they are being milked consists of a group of stalls which the animals can enter at one end and leave from the other end. Each stall can be raised when the animal is inside it, so that the operator does not have to bend down to do the milking. The sides of the stalls have openings to allow the operator the correct access to the animal. An automatically replenished manger is provided in each stall.
