The invention concerns a method for making thin stainless steel bands which consists in successively and continuously carrying out the following steps on a single processing line: continuously casting directly from liquid metal a stainless steel band; de-scaling said band; cold rolling said band; annealing and de-scaling or bright annealing of said band; finish forming of said band, such as final cold rolling and/or passing in a tempering rolling mill; coiling said band. The invention also concerns an installation for implementing said method.
L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication de bandes minces en acier inoxydable selon lequel on réalise successivement et de manière continue sur une ligne de traitement unique: la coulée continue directement à partir de métal liquide d'une bande d'acier inoxydable; un décalaminage de ladite bande; un laminage à froid de ladite bande; une opération de recuit et de décapage ou de recuit brillant de ladite bande; une opération de mise en forme finale de ladite bande, telle qu'un ultime laminage à froid et/ou un passage dans un laminoir écrouisseur; un bobinage de ladite bande. L'invention concerne également une installation pour la mise en oeuvre de ce procédé.
