Abstract A heating and cooking apparatus has a kneading trough detachably installed in a heating chamber of the apparatus. The trough has a handle for easy carrying by a user. Both the trough and a mounting portion to be engaged by the trough in the heating chamber are non circular, e.g. rectangular. As a result, the force in the direction of rotation during operation can be positively received corners, thus enhancing the strength of the apparatus, and avoid rattling, wear or disengagement of the parts.
