La présente invention concerne un instrument permettant de fermer par suture sous-cutanée un orifice réalisé dans la paroi abdominale d'un patient. L'instrument est caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend notamment une tige de piston (5) dont l'extrémité agit sur une lame flexible (8) de support d'aiguilles (7) pour les faire sortir à l'extérieur de la partie inférieure (4) de la canule (3) de l'instrument en dessous de la paroi abdominale (2) pour permettre ensuite à l'aiguille de pénétrer dans une partie d'épaisseur de cette paroi. L'invention trouve application pour la suture d'orifices après une intervention chirurgicale par laparoscopie.
