An insulated chimney top orifice device is disclosed having an insulated cap component and an insulated base component that reduces flue gas temperature loss and thereby reduces the formation of flue gas condensation and ice at the chimney orifice, an annular insulated baffle provides shelter around the orifice to further reduce flue gas temperature loss. The cap component and the base component are adjustably connected by a plurality of supports. The exhaust gases exit the chimney top device between the top component and the bottom component wherein two parallel truncated cones conduct the gasses in an upwardly direction. The chimney top device is affixed to the chimney top orifice by a variety of means depending upon the shape and extent of the particular orifice.
