Abstract of the Disclosure. An insulated electrical conductor having outstanding elevated temperature properties comprising a conductor coated with an extruded first and second layer of crosslinked polymeric insulation material. The first layer is a cross- linked polyolefin. The second layer surrounds the first layer and comprises a crosslinked copolymer of ethylene and chloro- trifluoroethylene containing from 1 - 10% by weight of the copolymer of a crosslinking coreactant selected from the group consisting of (a) diallyl, dimethallyl and dimethallyl esters of alkyl, cycloalkyl and aralkyl dicarboxylic acids, (c) dimeth- acrylate glycol esters and (d) blends of said crosslinking coreactants and from 1 to 10% by weight of the copolymer of a stabilizer selected from the group consisting of alkaline earth metal oxides and lead salts.
