An insulation layer provided on the mold base retains heat at the molding surface, thereby increasing surface smoothness or the molded part. A multilayered skin layer is provided on the insulation layer. The skin layer comprises a plurality of sublayers which are designed to provide improved adhesion, mechanical strength and abrasion resistance.
