12 Abstract of the Disclosure An insulated roof includes a deck which acts as a diaphragm to accommodate horizontally directed loading on a building and a plurality of interlocked roof panels which carry vertical loads. A layer of insulation is also included, as are bearing plates and clips which permit movement of the roof panels. A novel roof assembly method also is described.
