ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides a sound insulating glass pane assembly comprising a pair of parallel co-extensive sheets of glass spaced apart by means of a crosspiece, extending about the periphery thereof, a layer of a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate, as a sound insulating, vapor-barrier material located between said crosspiece and each said glass sheets and adhesively secured to an adjacent glass sheet and said crosspiece, said crosspiece being substantially inwardly spaced from the peripheral edges of said glass sheets to define a space filled with adhesive two-component sealing material effecting sealing of said assembly.
